In The Agony and the Ecstasy, Irving Stone writes about how Michelangelo saw his sculptures already formed within the marble—his job was simply to chisel away everything that wasn’t the figure. “I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free,” Michelangelo said.

That’s how I see coaching.

You’re not a problem to solve or a blank slate to fill. You already carry the shape of who you are meant to be. My job is to help chip away the noise, fear, and assumptions holding you back—so what’s already true can come into view.
